Meet the owner and director of Health & Safety Films... Richard Hall

Richard started as a trainee cameraman at ITV Channel Television and worked his way up to becoming the company’s Director of Network & Commercial Productions. 
He is now owns and heads up Richnedia Ltd in Jersey and has been responsible for the output of hundreds of corporate and health and safety productions. On screen he is perhaps best known as a journalist for BBC in the Channel Islands and for presenting the ITV Channel series ‘Stepping The World’.

He recently filmed and edited the critically acclaimed documentary ‘JFK Shooting The News” with George Clooney for More4.

Meet the Health & Safety Films founder... Karl Hibbert

Karl has worked as a director within theatre and television for over 25 years, and his work has encompassed both main house and touring theatre.

Karl was the founding Artistic Director of Forest Forge Theatre Company and ran the company for thirteen years.

As Associate Director of Salisbury Playhouse, Karl directed a variety of productions including ‘Hamlet’ and Patrick Hamilton’s ‘Gaslight’.

He successfully gained a First Class Honours Degree from Portsmouth University in 1995, and also spent time at the National Film and Television School training in both Multi Camera and Single Camera Television Directing.

Karl who set up Health and Safety films worked on over forty productions for the company  with a number of different corporate clients including Lovell Homes, Siemens Energy Services and Dorset Health Care Trust. 

He has also produced and directed a number of short DVD drama productions involving young people including a production with the BBC for the Youth Justice Board.

As well as his freelance commitments Karl also Lectures and Directs regularly for Trinity University College in Carmarthen.

He has now happily retired and handed the reigns of health and safety films to Richard Hall who has worked with the company for the last ten years.

Meet the Health & Safety Films founding director... Wayne Ingram

I have enjoyed a challenging and fruitful career freelancing as a production assistant and assistant director for many production companies including ITV Channel Television and BBC South.

I have joined Karl on many Health & Safety video/DVD projects over the years, and the nucleus of Health and Safety Films was created after 14 years experience of producing various kinds of health and safety productions in innovative and creative formats.

I am also a fully qualified first aider.

I'm focussed on Health and Safety Films becoming the #1 specialist in health and safety media production

Meet the Health & Safety Films lighting camera operator... Adrian Walker

I have been working in the broadcast industry as a Cameraman for almost 20 years.

I joined ITV in the Channel Islands in 1988 as a trainee, and progressed up the ranks quickly.

I became senior Cameraman in 1996 and remained there until 1999. I then left to become a Freelancer.

I continued to work for ITV but was also contracted to the BBC for 4 years, and helped set up a new studio and news programme for the Channel Islands.

Since then I have continued to Freelance for many of the top broadcasters and companies including frequent video and DVD projects for health and safety video production specialists Health and Safety Films.

Meet the Health & Safety Films actor and writer... Mike Sherman

Mike is an Actor and a Writer.

On leaving College he co-founded Forest Forge Theatre Company with Karl, where he remained for a number of years as both an actor and an occasional director.

He has also worked for various other Rep and Touring Companies including The London Bubble, Lyric Hammersmith, York Theatre Royal, Palace Theatre Westcliff, Sherman Theatre Cardiff, Age Exchange and Numerous No. 1 Tours. Recent theatre credits range from The New Statesman in the West End and on tour to The Pillowman at The National Theatre.

His television appearances include The Upper Hand, When We Are Married, The Brittas Empire, Heart Burn Hotel, London Bridge, Kiss Me Kate, Coupling, Paul Merton In … The Lift, The Bill, Touching Evil, The Robinsons, Rosemary & Thyme, My Family, Filth – The Mary Whitehouse Story and he has recently finished filming Silk a new series for the BBC to go out later in the year.

His writing credits include Agony and Threesome for Live TV, Puss In Blue Suede Boots and Alice In Boogie Wonderland for the Liverpool Everyman (which he also co-directed) and several episodes of BBC Doctors.

As well as his involvement with Health and Safety Films he also works regularly in the world of Corporate Training and has been involved in numerous Assessment & Development Centres, Recruitment & Selection, and bespoke training programmes for the likes of Vodafone, British Nuclear Fuel, Denton Wilde Solicitors, and various NHS Trusts and County Councils.
